What I Shed Today

lightening up a little at a time

66.6% effective three-hole punch

on January 20, 2014

We’re cautioned to not make the perfect the enemy of the good. But sometimes less than perfect isn’t good enough.

I brought this three-hole punch home from Martha’s office at church, hoping that with access to tools I could make it work. One end of the lever doesn’t depress the pin far enough to cut the paper. I can’t imagine how it was bent upward … perhaps it was just that poorly made. I fussed with adjustments, but the ill is in the body of the thing.

What's missing here?

What’s missing here?

Into the waste stream it goes. At least our community’s recycling program can take the steel parts.

shedding styles: recycle, throw away
destination: community recycling stream, landfill
