What I Shed Today

lightening up a little at a time

excess of bath towels and washcloths

on February 10, 2014

Today’s shed is brought to us by Nimue. She sorted our bath towels into “good enough to keep or give away” and “okay for mopping up cat barf.” Then she washed them all and presented me with a stack to drop off at Goodwill. I marvel at how we accumulated so many, but suspect it happened during the years work required keeping two households.

In any case, enough is enough: a set to hang, a set to wash and hang in turn, and a set for guests. We might manage with even fewer … surely many people do. We’ll try this for now, but perhaps we’ll shed towels again.

shedding style: give away
destination: thrift store

Comments welcome … what might you shed today?

  1. Today I plan on sorting through some art and craft supplies to pass along to a creative member of our youth group at church. I have been in the habit lately of ridding my home of excess in order to simplify my daily routine and to live a life of intention.

  2. Boy that’s an easy one, thanks for the idea! Admire your can-do spirit (as in, trash can).
